Wow, that's three really lovely ladies among the principals in this cast! I guess that they are going to have to do some dressing down of supermodel Choi Yeo-jin in order to have Choo Sang-mi's "woman of mystery" stand out physically in accordance with her character. Miss Choi is just another one of the models or singers that the Korean market has miraculously un-earthed who are able to seamlessly move from their former careers to provide excellance in the field of acting. How come most of our "stars" seem so incapable of doing the same?

Re: K-Drama: 내여자 ( My Lady / Sea of Ambition)

My opinion is that trying to compare Choi Yeo-jin and Choo Sang-mi is an apples and oranges deal. It's like comparing Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly. One is a hot babe and the other is a refined, elegant, beautiful woman. They aren't competitors. The public finds each attractive for different reasons.

A comment on your question. Maybe one of the reasons is that the entertainment industry in Seoul is very small and non-competitive compared to the USA. A big fish in a small pond is not viewed the same in a huge lake. Nearly every Miss Korea contestant becomes a model and actress, it seems. If they can't learn to act, then that particular door is closed. There isn't room or opportunity for that here and musicians, actors, beauty contestants, and so forth seem specialized more to their own fields than having a foot in nearly everything across the spectrum.

I'll bet most K-celebrities would love to have the talent, fame, and commercial success of a Prince, or Paris Hilton, or Arnold. Remember a few months back when Paris Hilton was in Seoul? They all went nuts over her.

Suky looks better, at least to me!, in the photo on this page than he did in Bizarre Bunch. But I wasn't as attached to me as many of you, especially nsheldon!

Choo Sang mi was a dragon lady in Yellow Handkerchief--even to the end, although she softened by then. And Park Sol mi was a major manipulator (cryer) in Winter Sonata. I know she's done several things since then.

Re: K-Drama: 내여자 ( My Lady / Sea of Ambition)

Okay.......... need help/clarification, please - from when they were children.

Suky's character is the son of the lady who visited her girlfriends grave.

Suky's gf is the daughter of the dead couple.

And, the son of the dead couple - have we seen him yet from the time jump?

It was a sad scene, but had a good laugh over gf's hysterical grieving and when told it was the wrong grave, she totally stopped the hysterics (made me think she really didn't life gf's husband) walked over to the other grave and started all over again.

This drama seems to be leading into some interesting triangles and story lines!

smoochie1, sorry but forgot, did you say you're able to watch this in NY, too? If so, what ep are you guys on?

BTW, I was shocked over that drinking contest. With all that intake AND mixing of alcohol, there is a good chance one can get alcohol poisoning.

EDITED to add - Sulky spoke pretty good English!

Since we all know him by Suky are we going to keep calling him that, or give him a "name" for his new character........... what should we do?
