For the past couple of weeks I've been watching this funny sitcom on LA18.6. Even though I don't understand the dialog, the situations are mostly universal, that plus the fact that the episodes are only about twenty minutes long, make it fairly easy to follow. The actress (Song Dandan) who plays the mom is just hilarious. Has anyone else seen this show, and maybe know more about it?
I didn't know the title, so I did a search and came up with the info below.

Home with Kids is a sitcom from Mainland China. There are totally four parts of Home with Kids, i.e. Home with Kids 1, Home with Kids 2, Home with Kids 3 and Home with Kids 4, which were released respectively in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2007.
Premise
Xiadonghai is married to Liumei. Xiadonghai has two children from a previous marriage. The youngest Xiayv has been living in the U.S. His eldest daughter Xiaxue has been living with her grandparents. Liumei has one child from a previous marriage named Liuxing. The parents try to act as a good example for their children and teach them right from wrong. This family arrangement is atypical for modern Chinese families because of the one child per family policy.
Characters
Major Characters
Xia Donghai (夏东海), portrayed by Gao Yalin, is the father of Xia Xue and Xia Yu. He is a director of children's shows. He is easygoing and a poor cook.
Liu Mei (刘梅), portrayed by Song Dandan, is the mother of Liu Xing. She is a director of nurses at a hospital and is in charge of the household. A running joke in the series is she threatens to hit her children but she never has. She and Xia Donghai have a loving relationship.
Xia Xue (夏雪), portrayed by Yang Zi in the former two parts and Ning Danlin in the latter two parts, is an excellent student and the oldest of the children. She gets good grades.
Liu Xing (刘星), portrayed by Zhang Yishan, is a poor student, but is clever. He is also a bit of a troublemaker.
Xia Yu (夏雨), portrayed by You Haoran, is the youngest but also seems bright. He follows his older brother Liu Xing in his exploits.
Secondary Characters
Grandpa or Yeye is Xia Donghai's father. He is interested in things that are for the common good, like saving electricity and saving water.
Grandma or Laolao is Liu Mei's mother. She likes to spoil her grandchildren and spare them from any hardships and inconveniences.
Hu Yitong (胡一统)is the Liu Xing's biological father. He oftentimes drops by unnannounced, to the consternation of his ex-wife Liu Mei.
Feifei (菲菲) is Xia Donghai's cousin.
Shubiao (鼠标) is Liu Xing's good friend. His parents are especially strict.
Duoduo (朵朵) is Xia Yu's close friend.

Synopsis
Loosely based on the Chinese folk tale Zui Da Jin Zhi(醉打金枝), Sheng Ping is a wilful princess who is also passionate about Jiju. To see her favourite Jiju player Chen Shao Tang, Princess Sheng Ping sneaks out of palace and in the process has several hilliarious encounters with the sixth son of the Prince of Fenyang, Guo Ai.
Starting out on the wrong foot, the two slowly became the best of friends after helping each out of various problems and made several important friends along the way. They are brought together after their respective romances failed to work out and they were finally married with the blessings of everyone.
Married life was not easy due Sheng Ping's higher status, and their relationship takes a turn for the worse when Guo Ai's former lover Luo Xia re-appears to drive a wedge between the two. When the angry Sheng Ping failed to attend her father-in-law's 70th birthday anniversary, Guo Ai in a drunken rage, hits Princess Sheng Ping...
