Re: Eureka Seven Final 2 episodes remaining (April 22 and 29)

Have you been following the postings at the Adult Swim - Toon Zone Fourm? while theses guys are not above spoilers all over the place its been a fun ride reading their postins as well as these last few weeks of E-7 http://fourms.toonzone.net/forumdisplay.php?f=67

I can't wait till this series recycles cause back when it started last year I was going out of the hospital for weeks and I really would like see the first 6 or 8 of the early episodes!!
Is anyone out here watching Blood+

Hope you didn't watch the prviews for next week on that was a spoiler.

Yeah I actually have been following those threads yesterday, well late, I don't like to read those forums until after the episode airs so that I don't get spoiled; but now I wish I read them before because all of them warned about the spoiler preview.

Which I did not know at the time! So I did see the spoiler preview. It's not too bad though, I mean what was in there was expected sort of.

Tom, so far AS doesn't have E7 back on the schedule for reruns, Bandai probably will not allow them for a while so that people will buy the DVD sets. I know I will! Best series and best tv show (of any kind) I've seen in the last year.

I have been following Blood+, great production values to be expected from Production IG (Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex) but it's uneven so far, some episodes are good but some are just ok. I heard it will really pick up in a few episodes down. I like it so far and have found it very entertaining, but I don't love it.

Bleach started out ok for me, but I've come to love it, the last runs of episodes in the Soul Society have been so great. Now I know why this show is so popular.

What do you think of these two series, Tom? Do you also watch Naruto? (it's getting really good now too). The last 2-3 months of episodes have been great.

Re: Eureka Seven Final 2 episodes remaining (April 22 and 29)

I forget where I read , oh yeah at adultswim.toonzone.net that when ( 1:30a.m.) Samurai Champloo ends they'll start Cowboy Bebop on May 19th, and Ghost in the Shell in the 1a.m. slot May 5th. so it might be awhile before they recycle E-7 maybe as a 4-a-week strip during weekdays.
Yeah over at the toonzone.fourm they start thier reviews when it airs on the AS fix and alot have Japanese downloads for their reviews. so they started posting on Friday.
The opening story arc for Blood+ is very looong I think it go's for 8 episodes there's a really good site at ktkore.hitori-janai.net the main reviewer there also uses Japanese downloads of many new news and ran long reviews of every episode of E-7 and has just started Blood+.
Bleach had seemed to me to be slowed down in this story arc where every is trying to rescue Sakia(? sorry I can't remeber her name offhand right now) but I still like this series alot. When saturaday's ep. aired I couldn't believe the series was already up to number 30.

Eureka Seven Final 2 episodes remaining (April 22 and 29)

That is one of the flaws of very long series like Bleach and Naruto, they do stretch story arcs a very long while, more than they really should.

So if you don't like the story arc, it's going to feel like a really long arc. I happen to love this arc in Bleach though, but yes it's going on a very long while and probably will go even longer still.

But at the same time, it's these prolonged lengths that make us entertained to watch for a long time isn't it? They give us enough each episode to keep us hooked for dozens of episodes.

I feel these pros and cons are true of very long J-Dramas and K-Dramas as well, for example in the K-Drama Jumong sometimes they stretch out plotlines for so many episodes constantly repeating the same thing.

Sometimes there's something to be said for limitations, it forces the writers to focus more on a more packaged delivery. My favorite anime tend to be 26-52 episodes because usually they have both length and focus.

I read somewhere that the series we know as "Case Closed" is at 450+episodes in Japan.

I've seen around 30 episodes of Case Closed, it's a great series in my opinion.

Eureka Seven Final 2 episodes remaining (April 22 and 29)

Adult Swim cut out the opening narration and the full ending.

Adult Swim sucks, they can go to hell. Sorry for the language but this I have had it with them with them constantly putting down the Anime block. First always using the Anime portion to make april fools jokes, then the people that run Adult Swim constantly put down Anime, and now this.

They cut and highly edited the show to the point where it totally ruined the ending since they did not show the ending at all! This is so upsetting I do not know where to even begin. The DVDs won't be completed until middle next year it looks like so we can't watch the DVD either.

Luckily someone from the AS boards posted the entire episode/ending on YouTube! emoticon

Anyway this was such an incredible ending and incredible show. Loved every single second of the ending. A truly marvelous series that really had it all.

This is perhaps one of the most complex plotlines I have seen in any Anime. This has a plotline for adults with the entire sci-fi aspect, religion and philosophy about deity's and fertility cults, the sacrificial king, the aliens, parallel worlds.

Incredible series.

PS. Tomcat, I loved the music, great mix of movie quality music, and jpop. Rainbow was so great too!

Re: Eureka Seven Final 2 episodes remaining (April 22 and 29)

Since last night after I saw what A.S. had done to the finale, I've been at the Toonzone (AS) site reading the flame-posts. I'd gone to the movies ( yes some people do pay to see a film, 300) so I waited untill E-7 as over to see what everyone else was saying.

Damn did AS screw the pooch on this one!! At youtube someone posted the missing 2min. 38sec. endding!! thank Big G. and at a posting from this morning theres a new posting whos linked-up the 1min 22sec opening thats also missing. Geees so my question is Bandai going fix all this mess when they release the DVD volume of this series, And when AS reairs E-7 will they cop to the F**K-U* and air ep 50 compleatly and uncut?

I've seen looonge e-dub anime series before but this one is one of the few that was able to have a compleat story that finaly made sense. If only AS hadn't cut the final minutes. I was almost in tears thur the final episode.

I'm on dial-up so I've been taking my time downloading the music for this series some times I'm there forever just for a track or two.

Maybe I'll just mix my own finale episode together.
